About Me
 

Hi there! I’m Thivya, a finance and mortgage broker based in Queensland. I have been in the finance industry for close to 15 years. I am a chartered accountant and a CFA charterholder. I realised what brought me joy was using my knowledge and experience to help people achieve their financial goals. So, once I ran out of friends to give unsolicited financial opinions to, I completed my Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking in 2024 to be able to work directly with people and make a difference in their lives. 

 

I migrated to Australia from Malaysia in 2019 and I am extremely proud to call Brisbane my home. As an immigrant who navigated the complexities of being a first home buyer and a business owner, I cherish the opportunity to be able to use my skills to help my clients navigate their own financial journey.

 

I love helping people buy their first homes as I love helping my clients invest in property or secure financing for their business needs. I want to educate my clients that not all debt is bad, and when used correctly, leverage can be a powerful tool that will help you realise your financial objectives. Thanks to my background in corporate accounting and finance...and my passion for launching into random "TedTalks" about money with my friends, I have become quite adept at explaining complicated financial matters in very simple terms. Since I am very comfortable with complex financial structures and understand business needs well, I particularly enjoy helping my clients get SMSF and commercial loans. 

 

Everyone has different circumstances, which is why I take the time to understand your needs, goals, and risk appetite and give personalised guidance and support. You must feel confident and cared for every step of the way as we navigate the process of securing a mortgage or finance I want you to know the bigger picture as well as the details so you feel empowered to make the best decisions for yourself and your family. My aim is to be your broker for life so you feel comfortable picking up the phone and giving me a call whenever you need. 

 

Outside of work, I am a big believer in being present in every moment and try to find enjoyment in everything I do daily - from house chores to helping clients achieve financial security. I am happiest when I am hanging out with my family and friends, cooking, reading, travelling, doing yoga, hiking, scuba diving, running and generally being outdoors in this beautiful country!
